Free meals are served to the devotees both in midday and night by the temple. Rooms are available for nominal rent in the Chatras. Cloak room service is also extended to the tourism at the Chatram office for 24 hours without any charges.
Piligrims can take bath at Darpana Theertha river in front of the main temple or at Adi Subrahmanya or at the Ghats of Kumaradhara river. (Distance 1.2 km.)
Banking facilities:
Devotees residing in far off place can get the sevas performed at the temple by sending money in the form of Cheques, Demand Drafts, through money orders or through online payments. The remittance to temple through the branches of Indian Overseas Bank or Vijaya bank to their branch at Subrahmanya is free of cost.
Arrangement for Permanent Seva:
The devotees who wish a particular seva to be performed at the temple on a particular day of the Hindu Religions Calendar (Panchanga) can do so by keeping prescribed amount in fixed deposit.
Permanent Sevas will be done only for fifteen years as per the request by the devotees. For more details contact temple office.
Other Activities
Education:The temple started a high school in 1963. It has been now upgraded as a junior college. The managing council has also started a first Grade college in 1983.
Over 2000 students studying in the primary school and colleges are given free mid-day meals at the temple irrespective of caste and creed based on “Poverty cum progress”
Dharma Sammelana and Cultural Programs:
For the benefit of the devotees and the intellectuals the temple arranges Dharma Sammelan on ‘Kiru Shashti’ day with the participation of people belonging to different religions and arranges so many cultural programs at that time.
Promoting fine Arts and Culture: The temple is encouraging programs like yakshagana,Harikatha, Classical music and classical dance etc., by arranging such performances particularly during the festival days.
